This work for piano solo continues to be one of my most performed works. It represents a lyrical quality in my writing that is representative of my neo-romantic style of writing for the piano.

This late intermediate solo in the key of F# minor exudes a somber and haunting ambience. The L.H. contains accompaniment patterns consisting of extended arpeggios and harmonic voicing, while the R.H. plays the highly lyrical melody with a few cadenza-like passages. This piece will appeal to the teenager as well as the adult student.
